Advanced Vehicle Diagnostics in Your Driveway
Check engine, ABS, airbag and transmission faults, scanned with dealer-level tools at your home or job site. You get the code and what it actually means.
What we do
What the job covers
A warning light is the car telling you it noticed something. It is not the car telling you what to buy. Between those two sits the testing that most people never get, which is why the same fault gets paid for twice.
We bring dealer-level scan tools to your driveway, read every module, and put the live data in front of you. You end the visit knowing the cause, not the code.
Full system scan
Engine, transmission, ABS, airbag, body and network modules. Not just the engine codes a handheld reader from a parts store can reach.
Live data and freeze frame
Fuel trims, misfire counters, sensor voltages and the conditions the fault was recorded under. The numbers that separate a cause from a symptom.
Road test with recording
Faults that need load, heat or speed get diagnosed on the road with the scan tool recording, not in a parking space at idle.
Smoke and EVAP testing
EVAP leaks, vacuum leaks and intake leaks found with smoke rather than by replacing the purge valve and hoping.
Misfire diagnosis
Which cylinder, and whether it is spark, fuel or compression. Coil, injector and compression testing on the cylinder the data points at.
A written explanation
The code, what we tested, what we found and what it takes to fix it, in plain language, before you decide anything.
In your words
What people tell us before we arrive
My check engine light came on and I don't know if it's safe to drive
The check engine light is flashing and the car feels rough
It stumbles and shakes at a stop light, then drives fine
The light went off by itself and now it's back
The car went into limp mode on the interstate
The parts store read the code but nobody can tell me what to fix
Any of these and we can tell you what it is before we touch a wheel. Send us the symptom and we will bring the parts.
Setting it straight
The code does not name the broken part
P0420 is read across the counter at every parts store as a bad catalytic converter. It is not. It means the downstream oxygen sensor is reporting the same signal as the upstream one, and the converter is one of several reasons that happens. An exhaust leak ahead of the sensor does it. A lazy rear sensor does it. An engine running rich from an unrelated fault does it, and then a new converter fails the same way inside a year. P0171 gets the same treatment and turns into an oxygen sensor when the actual fault is a vacuum leak or a dirty mass airflow sensor. A code is where a diagnosis starts. Anyone who reads you a code and quotes you a part in the same breath has skipped the part you are paying for.
The visit
How an on-site repair runs
Tell us the light and the behavior
Year, make, model, which light, and what the car does. Flashing versus steady changes how urgent this is, and rough at idle versus rough at speed points at different systems.
We scan and test on site
Full system scan, live data, and a road test where the fault needs one. We show you the readings and explain what they rule out as well as what they point at. The estimate for any repair is free.
We fix it or hand you the answer
Most faults we find, we repair on the spot. Where the repair belongs in a shop, you leave with the diagnosis in writing and no obligation to have us do the work.
What we do when the fault will not repeat
Intermittent faults are the honest hard part of this job. A code stored three weeks ago and a car that runs fine today gives us freeze frame data and nothing else. We do not guess-replace on that. We read the freeze frame, check the conditions it was recorded under, and where the fault needs driving to appear we set the scan tool to record and road test it. If it still will not show, we tell you it will not show, leave the monitor set up and come back when the light returns rather than selling you a part on a hunch. A diagnosis you paid for that turns out wrong costs you twice.
A flashing light means the car should not be driven to a shop
A steady check engine light is a fault worth booking. A flashing one is an active misfire dumping raw fuel into the exhaust, and every mile you drive on it is heat the catalytic converter was not built to take. The standard advice is to stop driving. The standard shop then asks you to drive it in.
We scan the car where it stopped. That is the whole argument for mobile diagnostics: the moment you most need to know what the code is, is the moment the car is least able to travel. Limp mode on the Courtney Campbell, a rough idle in an office lot. We bring the scan tool to it, and if the answer is that it needs a shop, you find that out before a tow rather than after one.
- You get an answer without driving a car that should not be driven
- We road test on the route where the fault appears
- If the repair needs a shop, you know before you pay for a tow
Questions
Before you book
My check engine light is flashing. What should I do right now?
Stop driving as soon as you can do it safely. A flashing light means an active misfire, and unburned fuel reaching the catalytic converter destroys it fast. Get the car parked and call us. A steady light can wait for an appointment, but it is still a fault the car is reporting.
The parts store read my code for free. Why pay for a diagnosis?
A free code read tells you which circuit reported a problem. It does not tell you which part failed, and for most codes there are several possible causes. The diagnosis is the testing that narrows it to one, and it is the difference between fixing the car once and buying parts until the light goes out.
Can you read ABS, airbag and transmission codes too?
Yes. Our scan tools reach every module on the vehicle, not only the engine. That matters because a handheld reader will show no codes on a car with an ABS fault and an airbag fault stored, and you walk away thinking nothing is wrong.
Will you clear the code for me?
After the fault is repaired, yes. We will not clear a code and hand the car back with the fault still on it. Clearing also wipes the freeze frame data the next technician would need, so it makes the problem harder to solve rather than easier.

Diagnostics across a fleet
A dashboard light on a work van turns into a decision nobody has time to make, so it gets ignored until the vehicle stops. We scan a whole fleet on site in one visit and hand back a list of what is stored, what is urgent and what can wait for the next service.
Find out what the light means
Tell us the vehicle and which light is on. We drive to you in Clearwater, St. Petersburg, Tampa, Dunedin, Pinellas Park or Sarasota and read every module on the car.
