Who We Are

Family owned, and the shop comes to you

Clearwater Vehicle Services is family owned and operated. You are not booking through an app that sends whoever is nearest, and you are not calling a franchise where the phone rings in another state. The person who answers works here, and the technician who arrives is the one who diagnoses your car.

The lead mechanic spent more than thirty years in shops before starting this one. What wore thin was watching people give up a working day to a waiting room for a job that never needed a lift. Brakes happen at the corners. Starters, alternators, belts and water pumps sit on the outside of the engine. So the tools went into a van and the repair started traveling to the car instead. No tow truck, and no morning in a lobby waiting on a vehicle you could have been driving.

Every technician who comes out to your car is ASE certified and factory certified, and every one of them works to the same standard, so the diagnosis does not change with who arrives. The lead mechanic has spent more than thirty years in the trade.

What to Expect

No surprises, from the first call to the last bolt

Every visit runs in the same order. We drive to the car, test before we recommend, and show you the reading that made the decision. Nothing comes apart until you have approved the price.

The estimate is free. When a fault needs diagnostic time, that is $99, and it comes off the bill when you have the repair done with us. The work carries a 12-month, 12,000-mile warranty. We would rather tell you a repair is not worth putting into the car than sell you parts you do not need, and if a job needs a lift, machining or a controlled environment, you hear that before we start rather than after the wheel is off.

Where We Go

Clearwater is home, Tampa Bay is the range

We cover all of Clearwater and St. Petersburg and the wider Tampa Bay area, including Tampa, Dunedin and Pinellas Park, along with the Gulf coast down to Sarasota. We work for individual drivers, company fleets and collision centers. Coastal cars bring their own pattern of faults, and thirty years on this coast taught the lead mechanic to expect it: salt air taking brake lines and connectors from the outside in, AC systems working at full load from April to October, and snowbird vehicles that sat for six months on old rubber and stale fuel.
