Auto Repair That Comes to You in Clearwater

Clearwater is our home city. The van starts here, so a Clearwater driveway, office lot or body shop yard is the shortest drive on our map.

Your car is in the driveway and it is doing something it did not do last month. A grinding noise at the first stop of the morning, AC that blows warm at a light on Gulf-to-Bay, a dash light that came on and stayed on. The fix is not the hard part. Getting the car to a shop, arranging a ride, and losing a day of work is the hard part.

Clearwater is where this business is based, so it is the one city where the drive costs us nothing. We work at your home, at your office, or in the yard where your vans park. Brakes, electrical faults, scan-tool diagnostics, AC service, hybrid and EV work, engine and transmission jobs. The van carries dealer-level tools and 30+ years in the trade, and both come to the car rather than the other way round.

Estimates are free, and we are licensed and insured. Call with the vehicle and the symptom and we will tell you what we think it is and which day we can get to it.

Clearwater driving wears brakes, not engines

Gulf-to-Bay, Court Street, Belleair Road and the surface stretches of US-19 are short hops between lights. A car here collects hundreds of stops a week and very little sustained speed. Pads and rotors go first, and a pedal that sinks a little further than it used to shows up long before anything under the hood complains.

AC quits at idle before it quits on the road

Airflow across the condenser drops to nothing when you are stopped. A system low on charge, or short on cooling fan, blows warm at a light on Memorial Causeway and cold again once you are moving. Summer beach traffic finds that fault every year. Tell us it happens at idle and we know where to start.

Hardware seizes on the beach side

Cars kept on Clearwater Beach, Sand Key and Island Estates sit in salt air. It takes caliper slide pins, exhaust fasteners and battery terminals long before the paint looks tired. A seized slide pin grinds one pad to the backing plate while the other still looks new, so we check the hardware on a beach-side brake job instead of fitting pads and handing the car back.

The shortest drive on the map

The van is based in Clearwater. No bridge, no interstate, no run to plan around. Give us the address, the vehicle and the symptom, and we will tell you which day we can be in your driveway.

Drivers, fleets and body shops, same van

A Clearwater call might be a commuter car in a Countryside driveway, a work van that has to be earning tomorrow, or a car at a body shop waiting on the mechanical half of a repair. The tools do not change. Brakes, electrical faults, diagnostics, AC, hybrid and EV service, engine and transmission work all happen on site.

Rear Brake Pads and Rotors on a Jeep Wrangler in Clearwater

2016 Jeep WranglerClearwater

The customer described grinding at low speed. Pulling the rear wheels confirmed why: the pads had worn down to the backing plate.

The rotors measured below the spec for a regrind, so they were replaced rather than turned. New rear pads and new rear rotors, both sides.

The Jeep was parked at an apartment complex and never left its space.

Questions

Booking in Clearwater

Where can you work on my car in Clearwater?

A driveway, a parking space at work, or a fleet yard. We need room to open a door and work beside the car, and for some jobs we need level ground. If the car lives in a condo garage on Island Estates or Sand Key, tell us when you call so we can check clearance and whether the building allows it.

My brake pedal feels soft after a run down Gulf-to-Bay. What is that?

Usually worn pads, sometimes brake fluid that has pulled in moisture and boils sooner than it should. We measure the pad material rather than guess at it, check the fluid, and tell you which one you are dealing with before anything gets replaced.

Do you cover Clearwater Beach, Sand Key and Island Estates?

Yes, and the mainland from Countryside down to Harbor Oaks. The only thing that ever stops us is access. Covered parking with a low ceiling or an assigned space with cars either side leaves us nowhere to work, so tell us where the vehicle sits and we will say whether it works.

What are your hours?

Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. We do not run after-hours calls. Book inside those hours and we will give you a day.
